School Transformation Program
The School Transformation Program (STP) aims to build model government schools in remote locations in Odisha that showcase best educational practices, strong community participation, and improved learning outcomes. The program addresses irregular attendance, low learning levels, and limited community engagement in the school system.
Key Goals
- Increase Student Learning Outcome
- Increase SMC, Parents and Community Engagement in school
- Create an effective learning environment at school through 3C model (which will create Regularity of students in the school)
- Create a space for teachers where all teachers from our intervention schools will be involved in the Community of Practices and share their best practices with each other. – redefine- strengthen school eco system development
Program Highlights
- Operating in 5 government schools across Sonepur district
- Engages Grades 1–5 students for 12–14 hours/week
- Led by trained local School Leaders
- Strengthens governance through active SMC and parent participation
Impact (2022–Present)
- 5,500+ students improved in learning outcomes
- 85 out-of-school children reintegrated into formal education
- 80 rural youth engaged as education mentors
- 90% of parents are actively involved in school governance
- Collaborated with 5 local government schools
